Malaysia Adventure

Being fortunate enough to do a mini tour of South East Asia, one of my favorite countries I discovered was Malaysia.

Of course having a nut allergy and travelling Asia brought its fair share of nerves, in Malaysia I was able to eat some of the most delicious food without hassle. Again, at least in Kuala Lumpur, English is vastly spoken. But in addition I was lucky enough to meet some of the most welcoming, friendly and awesome people I have since had the pleasure of calling my good friends. Meeting these people made my trip unforgettable, not the least were they able to translate any allergy problems should a language barrier appear, but they introduced some of the most delicious food I would never had discovered on my own.

From eating spicy chicken from Banana leaves in the famous 'Radu's', traditional breakfast prepared by the most welcoming family, ABC desserts and sweetcorn ice cream, rambutan, durian and my personal favorite, mangosteen. In my experience the use of nuts, in the foods that I encountered at least was small and the risk of an attack was low.
